Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced that a further 412 have died in the UK from the Covid-19 virus. This takes the total of people who have lost their lives to the virus to 37,460.
Mr Hancock says the NHS test and trace scheme, to begin in England tomorrow, will allow the government to replace the nationwide lockdown with more targeted action. Anyone in England who has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 will be be asked to isolate for 14 days.
He added that everyone who shows symptoms of coronavirus is now eligible for tests - including under 5s.
There are currently 448 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Swindon local authority area and 523 in Wiltshire. It was earlier announced that two further patients had died at GWH, taking the total to 114 deaths from the virus since the start of the outbreak.
As of 9am on 27 May, there have been 3,798,490 tests, with 117,013 tests on 26 May.
267,240 people have tested positive.
As of 5pm on 26 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 37,460 have died. This new figure includes deaths in all settings, not just in hospitals. The equivalent figure under the old measure would have been 30,177.
