Staff at the Greenbridge branch of Mothercare face uncertainty following the announcement that the company has called in administrators.
Mothercare, which has 79 UK stores, including one in Swindon, said its stores were ‘not capable of returning to a level of structural profitability and returns that are sustainable for the group.’
It is thought that around 2,500 jobs could be at risk nationally - 500 of which are full time.
In the financial year to March 2019, Mothercare lost £36.3m.
