Local Swindon Business WH Smith Greenbridge have kindly supported local Swindon and Wiltshire charity The Jessie May Trust with a donation from their WH Smith Foundation scheme of £100.

The WH Smith Trust offers grants of up to £500 to voluntary organisations and schools which are awarded every six months provided they support the community. In the UK, the funding is generated following the introduction of compulsory single-use carrier bag levies by the Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish and English governments.

WH Smith's IT Business Systems Analyst Andy Jarvis, who presented the cheque, said: “This is a great charity and we are always delighted to be able to support local good causes. The work Jessie May carry out for local Swindon & Wiltshire families is fantastic and we are very proud to be able to support such an amazing local charity” Andy is very much an active supporter personally for charities, outside of WH Smith, regularly completing Ironman events and marathons.

Debbie Clark, the Swindon & Wiltshire Fundraiser for Jessie May, said: “This is absolutely fantastic – we can’t thank WH Smith enough for this – every penny we receive works towards changing the lives of local families.”
