Witness appeal after young girl approached by stranger in Swindon centre

Police are appealing for information following an incident on Monday 1 May 2017 around 6.20pm in the Farnsby Street/Canal Walk area of Swindon.  

A 15-year-old girl was approached in the street by man who offered her modelling work. The girl was suspicious about the man’s motives and refused to go with him.

The man was described as an Indian male with an Indian accent, wearing a black leather jacket, cream or pale green trousers, he had short black hair and possibly a beard.  He was aged between 30 and 40.

A CCTV image of a man officers want to speak to connection with the incident is attached.

PC Paul Bezzant said “The young lady in was very sensible and reported the incident to us, we are conducting enquiries and need to speak to the man regarding his actions.

"If you recognise this man, have any information about him or this incident, please call us."
