A Swindon nursery had a VIP visitor to help it mark a special day.
Manager Julie Jones said: "We wanted to thank grandparents for the part they play in the lives of young children by inviting them to our Grandparents' Tea.
"For some families, we see grandparents on a regular basis. For others this will be the first time they have visited the nursery."
The celebrations included decorating cakes and biscuits, singing, a high tea with sandwiches, scones and fruit, followed by Story Time.
The nursery is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary and a recent Ofsted rating of 'Good' in all areas.
Mr Tomlinson said: "It's fantastic to come and visit this very popular nursery, especially one on which they have opened the doors to the families to share in the joy and fun.
"We are lucky in Swindon to have excellent nursery provision which local families benefit hugely from."
The MP added that the support of nursery care was something he had lobbied strongly about in Parliament.
