     warm welcome to all our old regulars & to any new recruits. For new
     readers its worth mentioning that the LINK/FOCUS is an entirely vol-
     untary community newspaper, self-financing & without 'Links' with the 'Council'. The paper

       This area has narrowly escaped the Pong from the open rubbish tip that Wilts County Counci
       proposed for Hay Lane - just across the M4 - to say nothing of the flies, seagulls, rats,
       desease etc. They have now dropped the idea.
       BUT don't we throw too much away? Did you know Thamesdown Council collects waste newspape
       and cardboard and re-cycles it? If it is tied up, the dustbin people will remove it and
       put it to good use                Go on, put your Link/Focus, Adver, Sun and Times to good use.
