GOOD RELIABLE SERVICE - NO ORDER TOO SMALL
WANTED URGENTLY: PAPER GIRLS AND B
CONSUMER GROUP
On Tuesday 2nd November at the Community
Room Freshbrook School, seven West Swindon
residents (including Roger Ogle) plus Moyra
Haynes of the Oxford Consumer Group met to
discuss the long awaited arrival of the
Carrefour Development. A lively discussion
took place with everyone recounting stories of
their initial shopping experiences at the new
West Swindon Centre. Comments both good and
bad emerged on the subjects ranging from sign-
posting fo the car parks to the state of the loos.
From there the party moved down to Carrefour
and after a swift look round, the group met Mr.
Peter Hartland, the Store Director. During the
following l- hours various points of praise and
crticism were put to Mr. Hartland who answered
questions fairly-if not always with the answers
the group wanted. On the whole Carrefour seem
keen to please the local community, which is,
after all in their interests as well. Under the
watchful eye of the West Swindon Consumer
Group they have every chance of succeeding. If
you want to join us or have any ideas, complaints
suggestions which we can take up for you, see
