Leisure Park
Carter Commercial Developments Ltd., Bristol, a
subsidiary of Speyhawk PLC, are submitting a planning
Carter application to the Borough of Thamesdown's Planning
Committee on 27th February, following detailed
consultations with council officers on the nature of the
development to take place on the Shaw Ridge site, off
Whitehill Way, West Swindon.
The planning submission is made jointly with three main

Corporation and DeVere Hotels, Si
in association with Pizzahut and Morland Brewery. wilh LA ec.d
The aim is to provide an integrated 'Leisure Park' which
will build upon the success of the Link Centre, providing
entertaiment for a large cross-section of Thamesdown's
population with everything from a quick snack to a full
day's entertainment.

10 screen multiplex cinema with a capacity of 2,000
people.

A 32 lane ten pin 'Superbowl,' a Night club/Discotheque
and Theme Cafe/Bar.
DeVere Hotels
A five star 150 bed Hotel and Conference Centre.
Pizzahut (UK) Ltd.
A 100 seat freestanding restaurant
Morland & Co. plc
A 120 seat family restaurant and bar. E,stng Lk
Subject to planning permission being awarded, it is
hoped building work will commence by the summer with
completion of the main leisure elements by Christmas
1990 and the hotel six months later.
