1991 was a year of changes at Swindon Cable. It was goodbye to British all work guaranteed
Telecom the previous owner and hello to C.U.C., a Canadian company Service from 8am - 9pm
with over 30 years experience in cable T.V.
A huge market research exercise was carried out among Swindon Cable NO CALL OUT CHAR
customers to find what improvements the viewers wanted. The result was
a completely new-look family package that included CNN, MTV, Lifestyle Tel: Swindon 81348

The Prime Minister at the Swindon Cable studios
   ManagerTony Dukenfield, said, 'The satellite
dishes are coming down all over Swindon as
people realise the advantages of cable. In fact,
you'd need four seperate dishes to get all the
   programmes we provide."
Swindon Cable has also changed its policy
on The Movie Channel and Sky Movies Plus. It
is now possible to receive these channels one
month at a time instead of for three months.
   Future plans include theprovisionofTheCom-
edy Channel and other developments in the
   pipeline.
The year ended on a high note. As Swindon
Cable was coping with a rush of new custom-
ers wanting to be connected for Christmas, the
studios were visited by Prime Minister John
Major where he gave an exclusive interview
