    A dozen people have requested entry forms to this year's Burmah Castrol
    staff charity writing competition as a result of articles in the last two
    editions of The Link, according organiser June Hosking.
     The competition closes on 31 March. Stories can be on any theme, but
    must be between 1,500 and 1,800 words, and double line space typed
    on single sided A4 paper. The entry fee is £5 and the first prize is £1,000.
     The second and third prizes are £300 and £200 respectively and each
    winner will also be presented with a Reader's Digest Universal Dictionary.
    The winners and guests will be invited to a reception at Burmah Castrol
    House to receive their prizes.
     The judges, local personalities, writers and the sponsors, will look for
    creativity and originality in the entries. So don't wait to the last minute;
    start composing and send in your work in good time.
