Jazz festival plan for '99
A musician from Lydiard Millicent is calling for help - and money - to
organise Swindon's first ever Jazz festival.
Ray Butt, from Chestnut Springs,
feels that a festival in Swindon over
several days would attract top line
acts and big crowds.
The annual July festival in nearby
Marlborough is now well established
and there is no reason why a similar
event should not be equally popular.
However Ray needs sponsorship
to get the show on the road, and
also commitment from people willing
to take on responsibility for various
aspects of organisation. Ray Butt playing the clarinet for Starring Sam 11 It'. I c ' ncr i t' sin heir Lres, direct
