Comfortable Read-A-Thon underway
Reading was put top of the class at Tregoze School when a fourmonth
independence Read-A-Thon was launched on 18 January.
Nearly 500 children, teachers,
parents and pre-school brothers
and sisters have signed up for a
scheme called Books and Beyond
which aims to boost book reading
and reduce the time spent watch-
ing television.
All ages have been encouraged
to take part whatever ability, in-
cluding very young children who
can have books read to them.
Displays around the school are
promoting the project and a range
