A fitting tribute to the town
It's arrived. Swindon's £11 million lottery funded museum of the Great
Western Railway. Huge engines and huge spaces, telling the story of
the works, the people who worked there and the contribution of Swindon
to the railway in Britain.
Hopefully Prince Charles will be pleased by the regeneration of the
historic building on his 27 June visit. STEAM is sure to become an
attraction for Swindonians and for people from far and wide.
