Flower festival and fayre to
raise money for historic windows
St Mary's Church in
Lydiard Park holds its
annual flower festival

The 17th Century east window

Van Linge has been taken to Can-
terbury Cathedral for specialist ^^ `• +wa tnet.nc
conservation work. The window
portrays St John the Baptist and St
John the Evangelist and was de-
signed as a play on the St John
family name.
The 1859 west window, below, is
one of the few monuments not spe-
cifically dedicated to the St John
family. It may be back in place by Sophisticated Indian cuisine
