Tigersharks take a trip
Members of Swindon's leading swimming club The Tigersharks
spent their Easter holidays training and competing in Jersey.
The ten day trip for the 11 to 15 years olds included daily training
sessions at the Les Quennevais Centre and taking part in the three day
Jersey Tigers Invitation competition.
To get there, the swimmers organised sponsored swims, car boot
sales, bonus ball competitions and raffles. Sponsorship was also
received from Speedo, ML Integration and Link advertisers Mansfield
Begbie Associates.
Club coach Phil Mallard said the trip provided great opportunities to
train and compete in a different environment and also build self-
confidence and team spirit.
Taking a break from swimming, the youngsters also went surfing,
hiking and cycling, and enjoyed a disco organised by the Jersey hosts.
