Garden celebrates the century
The junior playground at Greenmeadow School used to be a bare
wind tunnel, so staff, parents and children set about making a few
changes.
Over £2,000 was raised by the PTA, a grant was made by Swindon
Council and the rest of the money came from the school. A hedge and
trees were planted, picnic tables were installed and a Millennium
garden for quiet sitting and reading was built.
The work took over a year to complete and parents helped plant the
flowers in July just before Swindon Mayor Arthur Archer visited the
school to officially open the garden.
For your retirement living we currently have
vacancies at Brain Court, Stratton St. Margaret
and Windmill Court, Freshbrook, Swindon.
