Assault at community centre
A doorman was beaten up at the Toothill Community Centre in late (01793) 600440
April when he asked three young people to stop throwing their chips
on the floor of the foyer.
Centre administrator Annette Kennedy said, "although he did not
need hospital treatment he was quite shaken by the incident."
Despite this incident the centre is very popular and is heavily booked QySOC^gr^o
in the evenings. Sessions are available for hire during the day.
The centre is managed by a volunteer committee which is looking for
more people to assist in the running of the building. For details contact
