Brand new school welcomes first intake
Forty five reception and six Year 1 children started their school life in two mobiles in September at Bridlewood School at Ash Brake in North
Swindon. Unfortunately, political objections to the building of the 210 place school last year, delayed the construction start which means
the staff and children will move into the permanent facilities in Spring 2004.
Headteacher Jane Rodbourn
said getting the school off the
ground has been more of a chal-
lenge than normal.
Bridlewood will take children
across the primary age range in
the summer term.
So that staff can be appointed in
time, Ms Rodbourn would like to
hear from parents who wish to
register their children at
Bridlewood as soon as possible.
