Knitters knock out garments for kids
Ladies who live at James Wilkes House in Haydon Wick get together
every Wednesday to knit garments which are sent to children in
poorer regions of the world.
Since they started the charity knitting circle in May one batch of work
has been passed on to St John's Church, Haydon Wick and a second was
sent off to Uganda and Romania in early August.
Donations of wool are always welcome to keep the ladies well
stocked up and busy. This can be dropped off for Eileen Arkley at James
Wilkes House, Brookdene, Havdon Wick.
