Lunch club cooks up success
Since opening at the beginning of January the newly reopened lunch
club in Toothill Community Centre has been a hit with its members.
Run by four volunteers led by cook Sue Hall, 48 of the 50 places are
taken weekly. It costs £2 to register as a member and £2 each week for
the lunch cooked on the premises.
Mary Matthews said, "I was really glad the volunteers came forward
to restart the club. They cook a lovely meal; it's great value for money."
Not all members book in every week, so there are places for newcom-
ers. For details call Annette Kennedy on weekday mornings on 614492.
