Gift boxes being prepared
Churches, schools and local groups are busily making up Christmas presents in shoe
boxes ready for this year's Operation Christmas Child.
In West Swindon the partnership of churches are aiming to have at least 100 boxes filled
with items which will make Christmas special for children around the world who won't
be receiving much - toys, sweets, pens, pencils, paper and toiletries. If you want to make
up and donate a shoe box, Di Benbow will be at Holy Trinity Church, Shaw on Friday 5
November, 10am to 12noon to receive donations. She can also be called on 881274 to
arrange a collection before 10 November.
Please note, each box should be accompanied by a £2 donation to cover transportation
costs.
In North Swindon the Church of Christ the Servant is holding a special family and
parade service on 21 November, 10.30am, to dedicate shoe boxes before they are sent
away.
The church will be open from Monday 15 to Friday 19 November, 10am to 2pm so that
boxes can be dropped off. If this is not convenient, call Rev Brian Sweetman on 706558.

We cannot guarantee a win, but it's just so easy to support the
Prospect. For just £1 a week you could be one of the 28 weekly winners,
one of whom strikes lucky with £1,000.
And even if you don't win you know that every penny of our profit
from the lottery is going towards the care of the 250 local people who are
helped by the Hospice every single day.
Please complete the form below and return it to our office. We've West Swindon & the
