Farm to attend Prospect fete
Roves Farm visitor centre will be relocating itself for an afternoon on
Saturday 4 September, 12noon to 4pm, when staff will herd animals
to attend the Prospect Hospice garden fete in Wroughton.
They'll be bringing a highland cow and several baby animals to bottle
feed and will be taking bets in a series of sheep and goat races.
There will also be a Punch &Judy show, family games as well as fund-
raising stalls and prizes to be won.
The hospice is located in Moormead Road, Wroughton but parking
will be easier if you leave the car at the Nationwide Building in Pipers
Way and take the Thamesdown Transport 'Farmers Special' shuttle.
Brewers bonus for Prospect
Family-run decorators' merchant Brewers, who have a branch in
Swindon at Hawksworth, is celebrating its centenary year by making
large donations to good causes across the South of England.
The company has given £10,000 to the Prospect Hospice which will
support investment in new up to date IT and telephone systems which
will help the organisation deliver better support to patients and their
families.
