Music in the bowl
The summer music concerts continue in the Old Town Bowl with world
music from the Caribbean, Africa (with Celtic influences), Lember
Hussainpuri at the Mela and South America ringing out across Town
Gardens. See the advert on page 22 for details of performers and ticket
details.
On 7 July, proms style classics, accompanied by fantastic fireworks
burst forth with all the pomp and appropriate circumstances. Ticket
details are on page 28.
We can all see Cinderella at the
Wyvern this year. Oh yes you can!
It was a shock when the Wyvern Theatre was shut down last September
to allow asbestos to be removed. But it’s all gone, the foyer and
auditorium have been refurbished and the entertainment programme is
about to restart.
