Oakhurst parents could be denied
places at their community school
In the quiet North Swindon suburb, a storm has blown up over who
should run its proposed primary school. The Al-Habib Muslim educa-
tion trust wants to manage it as a faith school, offering 50 per cent of
places to Muslim children from across Swindon, but Oakhurst parents
say there will be enough children in the area to fi ll all the places.
