Sponsors offered
TV exposure
A talented motorbike racer from
Redhouse is desperate to gain
sponsorship by January in order to
give him a fighting chance to break
into big time competition.
Kenny Gilbertson, 22, has steadily
moved up the rankings in his eight
year career and is on the brink of the
British Superbike Championship,
a race series with a TV audience of
well over a million.
The former Greendown pupil
works hard to sell himself and is
often found in the commentary
box at race meetings chatting about
his prospects. This experience and
the contacts he has made means
sponsors will gain great brand
exposure.
The cost of racing rises with ev-
ery step up the ladder. Kenny has
to raise a minimum of £80,000 to
compete at Superbike level and has
to deliver his entry money in Janu-
ary, and be building his bike for the
start of the season in March.
