“The Curriculum is good because it is broad, flexible and interesting to students,
enabling them to achieve well” (Ofsted 2006)
At Bradon Forest we believe that all students should study a broad, balanced entitlement
curriculum which also caters for individual interests and aptitude. Our website provides
extensive information on the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum at Bradon Forest and our
results over the last four years with local, regional and national comparisons. “A particularly
good aspect of the curriculum is the creative range of subjects
offered to students in Key Stage 4” (Ofsted 2006). Key Stage 4
students can choose to specialise in any curriculum area. It is
our policy to offer all academic subjects to the highest ability level available. We also offer
students the opportunity of vocational learning through courses, GCSE or City and Guilds,
at partner institutions. Students are following courses in: Catering, Motor Vehicles and
Health and Social Care to name but a few. “… very strong links with the local business
community, partner schools and a local college enable students to access a wide range of
vocational and work based courses” (Ofsted 2006).
