                                                                    Pastors to build on street success

                                                                   Swindon Street Pastors definitely do not preach to the people they help
                                                                   when they visit clubs and pub areas in the town centre.
                                                                     Launched in September 2007 street pastors provide assistance to
                                                                   those in distress and give practical help such as finding taxis to take
                                                                   people home safely.
                                                                     The team is recruiting more volunteers to join them and is holding
                                                                   an information evening to explain the work they’ve done in the last
                                                                   year and what is required of street pastors. It takes place on Friday
                                                                   10 October, 7pm, at Central Church.
