                 Animals Asia walkers wanted

             Sarah and Dave
             Chilvers are call-
             ing on people
             who want to see
             an end to the bar-
             baric farming
             of moonbears
             for their bile in
             China and Viet-
             nam to join them
             for a sponsored
             walk.
              Annabella and
             Clarissa Wu are
             Sarah’s latest re-
             cruits, having ar-
rived from Hong Sarah with Clarissa and Annabel
             Kong in February. They attended
             an international school there and
knew about the work of Animals
Asia after a representative of the
             charity had visited.
              “The pictures they showed were
so shocking; many of us were cry-
             ing,” said Annabella. “We signed
up for a trip to visit the bear sanc-
tuary in Sczhwan last year but it
had to be cancelled because of the
             earthquake.”
              Clarissa said she and Annabella
were surprised to see Sarah orga-
nising a garage sale close to their
home. “We want to help her raise
awareness of Animals Asia so that
             moonbears can be saved.”
              More help is always needed
said Sarah. “I’m really pleased the
             girls introduced themselves; we’re
             always looking for volunteers for
             fundraising events like the spon-
             sored walk in September.”
