People's Network celebrates 5 years in Swindon libraries
Since it was set up in late 2003, the People's Network has made the World Wide Web accessible to all: over 800 people have got to grips with
the basics on PN courses in Swindon libraries, whilst thousands have used the computers every week to browse and e-mail.

Nova students take lessons from young entrepreneur role model
The efforts of youthful entrepreneurs at Nova were definitely not to be sniffed at during an enterprise day held at the end of November.
The challenge was for teams to design and market their own brand
of paper tissues and to get pupils in the right frame of mind, they heard
from Sabirul Islam who started his first business designing web sites
   when he was fourteen.
Now aged 17, he is working with the BBC on a Dragons' Den style
programme for young people, and an enterprise series for pre-schoolers

on CBeebies. His book, The World at Your Feet, has sold 42,000 copies and
is to be supplied to every school in the country by the government.
"1 worked out a few years ago that the secret to success is based on
the effect of three impacts," said Sabirul. "My focus is on intensity: your
strength and courage to keep going to get things done; integrity: being
honest with yourself and the people you deal with; and intelligence to
see the possibilities of developing your ideas."
