                                                                    Youth citizen ID good for library membership
                                                                   Young people from the age of 12 can become a member of Swindon
                                                                   Libraries on their own, if they produce a CitizenCard.
                                                                     Young people can apply for a free CitizenCard at their school. Parental
                                                                   consent is required, plus a referee who can verify the young person’s
                                                                   details. A letter will be sent to parents after joining a library to confirm they
                                                                   are happy for young people to use library services including computers.
