Cadets triumphant after Everest trek
Six Army cadets from Wiltshire and four instructors success-
fully made it to Everest base camp in October to mark the
150th anniversary of the Army Cadet Force (ACF), raising
£8,000 for Help for Heroes, in addition to the £20,000 needed
to get them there.
Staff sergeant instructor Beverley Cubbon from Abbey Meads
said the planning for the project had been immense in terms
of fi tness preparation and organising a wide range of money
raising activities over the last two years. “It was a tremendous
achievement for the young people who took part, an experience
they will never forget.”
