Link’s nomination helps Les
reach next stage of torch relay
Personal trainer Les Slinn is hop-
ing to be one of the lucky runners
who will carry the London Olym-
pic 2012 torch for a one mile stage
in its relay around the country.
Nominations were invited for
people who have made signifi cant
contributions to their communi-

Netballers make court fashion statement
West Swindon based Burmah Netball Club has attracted a new spon-
sor: Carter Moore LLP, independent fi nancial advisers.
Burmah are a well established netball club who have been welcoming
new players from the age of 14 upwards for over twenty years. Currently
three teams compete in the Swindon & District netball league and wel-
comes the support of a local sponsor.
Sponsorship from Carter Moore LLP has allowed the club to replace
all its kit with new stylish Kukri dresses ready for the new season ahead.
Burmah train on Wednesday evenings, 8pm to 9.45pm in the sports
hall at Greendown School in Grange Park and welcomes anyone of any
age interested in playing for fun or fi tness, or competition. Turn up to
