Swindon Foodbank project manager Richard Belsham said: “Three long
term unemployed individuals have got jobs after doing practical work
with Restore. I truly believe it helped with their self-worth.”
Based at St John’s Church Hall on Whitbourne Avenue, Park North,
Swindon Restore is always looking for volunteers to serve in the shop
and café, help with van collections and prepare goods for sale.

Scrapstore can come to you
Swindon Children’s Scrapstore has launched ‘Let’s Play’ creative art and
craft mobile workshops run by dedicated craft facilitator Mel Thompson
who visits schools, community groups and pre-schools.
She offers sessions that can be focused on current topics or one off
events for a small or large group. Whatever the theme the environmental
aspect of reusing materials that would otherwise go to landfill is a key
part of her project.
