Basketball players dunk world record
They don’t look worn out but the picture shows the 24 players in the
South West Scorpions wheelchair basketball team AFTER they had
played non-stop for 27 hours and 32 minutes.
Only blisters, bruises and dislocated fingers prevented the players
smashing the September 2004 record of 26 hours and 3 minutes set by
the University of Omaha, Nebraska by an even greater margin.
Ben Fox, 16, from Westlea, who carried the Olympic torch in Royal
Wootton Bassett and is aiming for the 2016 Rio Paralympics, captained
one of the Scorpion teams involved in the marathon at Filton College in
