Green economy:
            what does it mean?

           A Question Time-style evening or-
           ganised by Swindon Climate Action
           Network  on  Friday  29  November,
           7.30pm, at the Pilgrim Centre, Re-
           gent Street will discuss how a green
           economy can be built in Swindon.
             On the panel will be South Swindon
           MP Robert Buckland, Cllr Dale Heenan,
           Swindon Council’s cabinet member
           for strategic planning & sustainability,
           Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Dr Gary Mantle,

             The outdoor seating area next to
           the Walled Garden has also been re-
           vamped. The tarmac has been replaced
           by the gravel surface used on all the
           pathways around the park, improv-
           ing the period look and improving
           wheelchair and pushchair access.
             The  area  for  plant  sales  will  be
           expanded and restocked with more
           plants from the walled garden.
             Lydiard  Park  is  open  daily  from
           7.30am to dusk. The tea rooms in a
           Grade II listed building  close to the
           house and the church are open daily
           from 11am to 5pm.
             The house and the walled garden
           are open every day from 11am to 5pm,
           except Monday. Entry is by ticket.
