Retirement flats set for North Swindon net
Developer McCarthy & Stone, who specialises in building housing units
for older people, will be submitting a planning application to Swindon
Council for 24 retirement flats in Ash Brake, next to the Blunsdon Arms.
The site already has outline permission for a 40 bed hotel, granted when
the pub was approved. After plans were shown to people living in the Pen-
nine Way area of North Swindon, the developer is proposing 14 car parking
places, two more than required by the council’s planning policy.

100 children and young people the opportunity to work with top profes-
sionals from the music and film industry in a one day workshop of singing,
