Swindon Travel Choices
Swindon Travel Choices aims to make it easier for those living or working in
Swindon to get around without clogging up the road network. We believe that by
giving people proper travel choices, many everyday journeys can be made by
bus, bike and foot rather than by car.

Co-wheels operate the car club on behalf of
Swindon Travel Choices. It costs nothing to
become a member of the club, and you will
also get £20 driving credit to get you started.
There are now nearly 100 drivers making use
of the car club scheme in Swindon town centre,
where cars can be hired at the railway station,
Princes Street and Old Town.
Hourly weekday rates are £4.50, plus 21p per
mile, but there are discounted rates during the
evenings, overnight and at weekends. The
hire charge includes EVERYTHING such as
comprehensive insurance and fuel.
It’s perfect for those who can’t currently afford to
buy a car, those who may not want to keep a car
that doesn’t get much use, or those whose car is
off the road.

for you to weigh up all
your travel options
We’ve launched a journey planner on our website that will
help you plan a journey from A to B using the car, bike, bus
or on foot.
The results will show you a map of the routes, or step by step
directions, comparing all the different modes of transport in
terms of distances, times, calories burnt and CO2 used.
Over 2000 journeys have already been planned using the
journey planner.
