Learning to shake pom poms with style Youngsters at Bridlewood Primary School
enjoyed a week of sport in June designed to
give children the chance try out a range of
activities.
Classes visited sports centres around the
town, including Lydiard Park Academy where
they had a go at trampolining. Year 2 children
enjoyed a morning learning how to be cheer-
leaders with 6th formers and members of the
LP Allstars Jazmin Fearib and Leah Scaife.
They learnt basic routines in small groups and
put on mini-displays.
Bridlewood coodinator Jenny Hulse said: “The
aim was to give children the chance to try out
a variety of different sports like ice skating,
abseiling, golf, martial arts, croquet and much
more. They had great fun working on physi-
cal skills and also developing determination,
perseverance and patience.
Many children discovered hidden talents
which we hope will encourage them to
maintain healthy and active lifestyles.
