Learning to shake pom poms with style                                      Youngsters at Bridlewood Primary School

                                                                                 town, including Lydiard Park Academy where
                                                                                 they had a go at trampolining. Year 2 children
                                                                                 enjoyed a morning learning how to be cheer-
                                                                                 leaders with 6th formers and members of the
                                                                                 LP Allstars Jazmin Fearib and Leah Scaife.
                                                                                   They learnt basic routines in small groups and
                                                                                 put on mini-displays.
                                                                                   Bridlewood coodinator Jenny Hulse said: “The
                                                                                 aim was to give children the chance to try out
                                                                                 a variety of different sports like ice skating,
                                                                                 abseiling, golf, martial arts, croquet and much
                                                                                 more. They had great fun working on physi-
                                                                                 cal skills and also developing determination,
                                                                                 perseverance and patience.
                                                                                   Many children discovered hidden talents
                                                                                 which we hope will encourage them to
                                                                                 maintain healthy and active lifestyles.
