New school viewing for Ridgeway Farm starters
A few of the first children who will attend the yet to be completed
Ridgeway Farm Primary School donned hard hats and high-vis jackets with
their mums and teachers to take a peak inside.
Doug Gray of construction firm Beards conducted the tour. He assured
the parents and teachers that handover to the Diocese of Bristol
Academies Trust who will run the school, will take place in good time for
the start of term in September.
Located in the middle of housing, each of the six classrooms will have its
own sheltered outdoor play space to complement the grass playing field.
The building will generate a lot of its own electricity from a large array of
solar panels on the roof which will also feature ceiling tubes to bring light
into the classrooms.
