Police appeal for footage following arrest in Tadpole Garden Village

A man is currently in custody following a report of an attempted theft of a vehicle in North Swindon.

A police spokesperson said: "We received a report that a man had been seen acting suspiciously around high value vehicles in the Tadpole Garden Village area of Swindon between approximately 1am and 2.30am this morning - a April.

"Officers attended the scene and carried out area searches and located a man matching the description given.
"The 36-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped to steal and conspiracy to commit theft.
"He remains in custody at Gablecross for questioning."
The spokesperson added: "Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist our enquiries.
