Swindon based charity Doing it for Dan has again been selected as one of the charity partners to benefit from the 2024 Sporting Chance Prize Draw.

The Sporting Chance Prize Draw is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together the sporting community and charities across the UK.

The Draw is open to enter from midday on Friday 1 March and closes on Friday 15 March.  100% of every £10 entry goes directly to Sporting Chance Prize Draw charity partners, of which Doing it for Dan is one, helping to fund invaluable work.

A £10 entry into the draw could win you one of 40+ amazing sporting prizes including two days in Paris with Team GB, two places for a ski weekend at Das Edelweiss, Salzburg, A Golf Day at the Belfrey, and hospitality tickets for some of the best sporting events in 2024.

Sporting Chance Prize Draw’s Founder, Simon Jacot said “Our not-for-profit, Prize Draw platform was set up to help support small, life-changing charities like Doing it for Dan. Every penny raised goes to our charity partners.  We are thrilled to be partnered with Doing it for Dan and look forward to what will be the biggest and most exciting Sporting Chance Prize Draw campaign so far, this March."

Doing it for Dan was set up in memory of 11-year-old Daniel Climance who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident in Purton Swindon in June 2015.

The charity in his name set up by his parents helps to remove the financial barriers that some children face to taking part in sport by providing grants for sports equipment, kit, club memberships and competition fees to individuals and clubs in Wiltshire and its neighbouring counties.

Since 2017 the charity has provided grants totalling over £126,000 to over 240 young people and organisations in the local area.

Charity founder, Helen Hancock said “We are absolutely delighted to be one of the selected charities to benefit from the Sporting Chance Prize Draw.  As a small charity this is a brilliant opportunity for us to raise funds and awareness. A lot of the prizes on offer are ‘money can’t buy’ experiences and by choosing to support Doing it for Dan when you enter the draw, 100% of the money you give will go directly to us - ensuring that we can continue to support young people engage in sport in our local area.”
