Wiltshire developer shares top benefits of buying a new home

New Homes Week, Monday 26 February – Sunday 3 March, is an annual awareness week aimed at raising the profile of new build homes across the UK to mark the occasion, leading partnerships developer Lovell is sharing the top benefits of buying and living in a new build home.

New build homes are built to high standards of energy efficiency with 85% having either an A or B EPC rating, which results in both significant savings on energy bills and a reduced impact on the environment.

According to the HBF’s ‘Watt a Save’ report, new build homes emit 61% less carbon emissions per year which makes energy bills 55% cheaper. This means new build homeowners can save up to £184 per month on their energy bills for an annual saving of over £2,200.

Purchasing an older home can sometimes lead to unexpected expenses, as parts of the home that have not been updated since the build or haven’t been properly maintained break down and start to cause problems.

All the elements of a new build home are freshly fitted to meet high safety and quality standards, and warranties are offered as standard for peace of mind in the event that something needs fixing, meaning that homeowners can relax and enjoy settling into their new home instead of worrying about repairs and upkeep.

Those who purchase a new home can often benefit from buying schemes and incentives offered by the housebuilder which can make the purchase of the home more affordable, such as Lovell Homes’ Helping Hands or Part Exchange schemes which are available on selected plots.
