Monday 16 June to Sunday 22 June is Care Home Open Week and this year’s theme is ‘The Power of Music’.

To celebrate, Hartford Care’s Cotswolds Rise care home in Purton, is hosting its very own COTS-FEST across the week, and is inviting the local community to come along to as many of the music performances at its ‘music festival’ as they wish.

With a variety of musical performances, from sing-along songs to a choir, there’s something to entertain everyone. Performances are as follows:

Monday 16 June at 3pm: Angelo and his Guitar (classic sing-along songs)

Tuesday 17 June at 7.30pm: The Swindon Songbirds (local choir)

Wednesday 18 June at 3pm: Laurence – The Music Man (singer/pianist)

Thursday 19 June at 3pm: Philip Downing plays the organ (classical and easy listening)

Saturday 21 June at 3pm: Natasha Bushnell (songs throughout the decades)

Sunday 22 June at 3pm: Alex Crump (theatrical storytelling musician)

Gemma Brown, Home Manager at Cotswolds Rise, said: “We are thrilled to open our doors to the local community during Care Home Open Week. Not only can people come along and enjoy the wonderful musicians throughout the week, it’s also an opportunity for people tour the home and meet our excellent team – we’re all looking forward to welcoming our guests.”

Cotswolds Rise offers residential care, dementia care, day care, end of life care and respite breaks across 66 en suite bedrooms. Close to Swindon town centre’s amenities, the home has fully accessible and enclosed landscaped gardens with patio areas and sun terraces, perfect for hosting outdoor activities. There are several spacious lounges and dining rooms, a lifestyle kitchen, salon and a shop. Designed with sustainability in mind, Cotswolds Rise has significant renewable energy elements - including solar panels, heat pumps and battery storage systems.
