Abicare, the award-winning Swindon-based homecare provider, has expanded further with the appointment of Charlotte Webb and Angela Dawson as Registered Manager England and Operations Manager Live-in Care respectively.
The long-established South West based business continues to grow at pace and as such, Charlotte and Angela have both been appointed to divisional managerial roles to strategically assist with the planned expansion.
Charlotte initially joined Abicare in 2016 and has, over the last decade, progressed from a carer to keyworker, community team supervisor, community team manager and locality manager. In her new role as Registered Manager Charlotte, who will be based at the Swindon branch, will oversee the Abicare teams and clients in the South West, focusing predominantly across Wiltshire.
She is committed to making more of a difference to clients and enabling the branch teams to follow suit, as well as completing further NVQs developing her knowledge and skill set.
Charlotte said: “I am delighted with my appointment as Registered Manager and am committed to learning in this role. Care is a challenging sector to work in, but so rewarding too, and by striving to do the very best every day, we can make a real difference to clients.
“Care is always at the forefront, which initially attracted me to Abicare 10 years ago, and it is important to me that the branch teams continue to keep it at the heart of the company. We are highly respected in many communities in the region, and I want to build on this.”
Angela, who started working at Abicare in 2009, has been promoted to Operations Manager Live-in Care. Angela is tasked with growing this national one-to-one service. By developing a stable and committed team, Angela hopes to achieve sustainable growth in this division in the coming years.
Previously, Angela had a career in the Ministry of Defence in various HR roles. She then worked as a school science technician before joining Abicare where she progressed from carer and locality manager to registered manager and operations manager. Angela has a wealth of experience.
She said: “Abicare appealed to me many years ago as I wanted a rewarding career and it offered me the chance to make a difference every day. I enjoy working for Abicare; it’s very much a team effort, yet flexible and continually evolving. We have ambitious growth plans for the Live-in Care service, and I look forward to being a part of this.”

Away from work, Charlotte, who lives in Swindon, loves spending time with her fiancé and children. Angela, who lives in Bradford-on-Avon, likes spending time with family and friends.
