Swindon Cricket Club (SCC) has announced a major new commercial sponsorship agreement with Tekever, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for one of Wiltshire’s most established and community driven cricket clubs.

The Tekever sponsorship marks a defining moment in Swindon Cricket Club’s journey—strengthening its foundations while supporting its ambition to be the premier county cricket club in Wiltshire, rooted firmly in community values.

Under the new agreement Tekever becomes a principal commercial sponsor of Swindon Cricket Club. The partnership introduces newly branded match kits and on-ground branding. All paid-up SCC members will receive a complimentary current-season match shirt, courtesy of Tekever. Existing long-standing sponsor relationships, including Deacons Jewellers, Ridgeway Hospital and Coe Capital and the player sponsors, remain fully endorsed and valued.

A spokesperson for Swindon Cricket Club said: “This partnership with Tekever is about far more than branding. It reflects a shared belief in community, opportunity, and long-term investment in Swindon’s people—especially its youth. Tekever’s arrival signals confidence in our town, and we are proud to welcome them as part of the SCC family as we strive to be the leading county cricket club in Wiltshire.”

Tekever, the European leader in unmanned systems technology, has recently selected Swindon as the home of its largest UK facility, taking over the iconic former automobile manufacturing site at The Spectrum Building. The new 254,000 sq ft facility represents Tekever’s most significant UK investment to date and is expected to create hundreds of skilled local jobs, with longer-term plans exceeding 1,000 roles as the site becomes fully operational through 2026 and beyond.

Tekever’s ambition to embed itself within the Swindon community aligns seamlessly with Swindon Cricket Club’s long-standing values. Founded in 1844, SCC has a proud heritage at the heart of the town and is widely recognised for its inclusive culture and youth-first development pathway, welcoming players from the age of five through to senior and representative cricket.

With one of the most active junior sections in Wiltshire and a diverse and growing membership base, SCC continues to invest heavily in coaching, accessibility, safeguarding, and community participation—principles that strongly resonate with Tekever’s own commitment to skills development, education, and local opportunity.

Swindon Cricket Club also encourages local small and medium-sized businesses to engage with the club via a range of accessible, low-cost sponsorship opportunities. These partnerships provide meaningful exposure, strong community alignment, and a chance to directly support grassroots sport and youth development in Swindon.
