Newbury Racecourse is gearing up to welcome racegoers back for one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Flat season, the BOYLE Sports Lockinge with Ladies Day, on Saturday 16 May.

The raceday centres around the Group 1 BOYLE Sports Lockinge Stakes, where equine stars will compete for a £400,000 prize fund. Alongside top-class racing, the event promises a full day of entertainment, style, and interactive experiences across the Racecourse with the day’s festivities concluding with one of Newbury’s most popular afterparties, headlined by Ibiza favourites Lovely Laura and DJ Ben Santiago.

Racing fans who secure their tickets early – as well as saving big on tickets - will enjoy complimentary behind-the-scenes access courtesy of Parade Ring Tours and Jockey Talks. Led by former jockey David Crosse, these immersive experiences offer a unique opportunity to visit the start line, parade ring, and winners’ enclosure.

Returning for a fifth consecutive year, Sequoia Hair & Beauty will once again host a dedicated on-site marquee, offering complimentary hair and beauty treatments, including Bobbi Brown makeup, to ensure racegoers look and feel raceday-ready as part of Ladies Day. This year also sees the addition of hair touch-up services in the Premier Enclosure, along with a photo opportunity outside Filly’s.

Meanwhile, the stretch tent will be transformed into ‘The Party Tent’, featuring a live DJ throughout the day, alongside face and glitter painting. Style remains central to Ladies Day, with on-the-spot prizes awarded to the best-dressed racegoers, thanks to Parkway Shopping.

Other activations for 2026 include Newbury’s ‘spin the wheel’ game and music-led competitions, offering visitors the chance to win tickets to the Racecourse’s biggest racedays. BOYLE Sports will also be on-site with fan engagement activities and giveaways.

Additional attractions include a pop-up from Christophe Duchamp, and a new jewellery stand offering jewellery on-the-day bonding experiences. A wide range of food and drink options will be available across the venue, complemented by sampling activations.

Courtesy of Newbury’s ongoing partnership with Greatwood, who use former racehorses to educate disadvantaged children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN), racegoers will also have the opportunity to meet retired racehorse Mahlervous at the stable to the right of the Eastern Entrance.

Entertainment will continue throughout the afternoon with performances from a roaming band, building the atmosphere ahead of an unforgettable finale. The day will then conclude with a big afterparty, straight from Ibiza with Lovely Laura and DJ Ben Santiago taking centre stage.

Tickets for the BOYLE Sports Lockinge with Ladies Day are available to purchase at www.newburyracecourse.co.uk, with discounts available until 11:59pm on Friday 8 May.
