West Swindon Library will temporarily close later this month for essential repair and upgrade works.
From 24 June, the current library will close, and a reduced service will operate from an upstairs room within the Link Centre from 30 June onwards. The temporary service will continue to offer book borrowing and returns. Public-use computers, Wi-Fi and related services will be unavailable but will resume following the completion of the refurbishment.
Library members will still be able to access free eBooks and eAudiobooks, reserve items online and use other library branches across the Borough.
When the work is completed by the end of the year, the service will return to its current space and will be included in the council’s network of Community Hubs.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you for your patience and understanding while these improvements take place.”
