A new picnic bench has been installed at a popular park in Wroughton.
Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Council’s grounds team put in the finishing touches on Monday 15 June and the Chair of the Parish, Cllr John Hewer, officially unveiled the picnic bench.
The bench is located at Wroughton’s popular Maunsell Way recreation area, just near the play park and the BMX pump track.
The parish council purchased and fitted the bench in order to improve the local amenities at Maunsell Way.
Cllr John Hewer, Chair of Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Council, said: “I’m delighted to unveil our new Maunsell Way picnic bench, just in time for the summer.
“The parish council is committed to delivering improvements right across the parish for local residents, and I’m sure the new bench will be very well used.”
Late last month, the parish council installed new outdoor gym equipment at Wroughton’s Weir Field. The gym has been well received by residents so far.
