The National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC), the UK’s award-winning homebuilding visitor centre, is hosting a special free event – all about home ventilation.

NSBRC will be hosting the free, drop-in clinic: Ventilation, on Saturday 4 July from 10:00am to 15:00pm.

A spokesperson said: “Are soaring temperatures causing you sleepless nights? Is hay fever affecting your day? Why not drop in to our free, dedicated, clinic and chat to the experts?

“Our Drop-in Clinics are half-day events designed to give you a deep dive into topical homebuilding subjects. For each session, explore a topic in more detail, with a combination of masterclass presentations and one-to-one consultations. We will focus on the hot topic of the moment – how to ventilate our homes.

“Creating a comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient home starts with getting the building fabric right. At the NSBRC, we call this taking a ‘fabric first’ approach.”

During your visit, you’ll be able to explore systems, attend expert-led seminars and book free 1-to-1 consultations to discuss your project.

Ventilation can determine how your home performs - impacting everything from heat retention and energy bills to air quality and long-term durability. Getting this balance right early in the design stage is essential to avoid problems such as overheating, condensation & poor indoor air quality.

Whether you're building from scratch - or upgrading an existing home - this event will help you choose the right ventilation systems such as MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) and Air Conditioning.

Confirmed Exhibitors include: The Unico System: Showcasing a simple solution offering instant heating, cooling and ventilation with improved air quality for your well-being. Airflow Developments: Discussing Passivhaus principles of ventilation. Total Home Environment: Exploring Heat Recovery Ventilation and Heat Pump Ventilation solutions. Ubbink: Reviewing the benefits & legislation around Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery.

Cambridge Retrofit Hub: Explaining exactly how Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR) works, with an interactive demonstration rig.

The National Self Build & Renovation Centre is located on J16. M4, Swindon, SN5 8UB
