Join Royal Wootton Bassett Orchestra on Saturday July 11 for a magical evening of music.
The orchestra will showcase music with a sprinkling of magic from well-known classics, film, musicals and pop. Wine and chilled soft drinks will be served in the interval.
Incredibly talented members of the orchestra will feature as soloists. Megan Bailey will perform The Dew Fairy from Hansel & Gretel by Humperdink and Jason Hoult will play the horn solo in Romance for Horn and Orchestra by Saint-Saens.
Continuing the magical theme the orchestra will play:
- Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on Greensleeves
- Tchaikovsky: Sleeping Beauty Waltz
- Schwartz: Suite from Wicked
- Shore: Lord of the Rings Suite
- Mancini, Procul Harum, Beatles and much more.
RWBO is a well-established local orchestra who, under the guidance of Musical Director, Nicola Ashton, performs at least three concerts a year. Their last concert, London Calling, held in April in Malmesbury Abbey, and featuring Dominic Irving performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No1, was a sell-out success.
